Matthew Says Goodbye to ToastmastersSeptember 6, 2008 After 17 years, I've decided not to continue with Toastmasters. With the demands of my new role as president of Saddleback Little League, I won't be able to participate and support the program the way I have in the past. So, I decided to let my membership lapse as of September 30. My final Toastmasters meeting will be September 25 at Money Talks Toastmasters in Irvine. This was a hard decision to make. In my many years with Toastmasters, I had many great experiences and made a great number of friends. But it's time for me to take what I've learned from this organization and use it to help the youth of our community. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has mentored and supported me along the way. You have helped make me a better person, and I will always remember you. I wish the best to my club, Money Talks Toastmasters, and to Divisions F and G, Founder's District, and Toastmasters International. Continue to help others achieve their potential so that they can help others in return. Although a part of my life is ending, I'm excited about the new one that is unfolding.
