Matthew Qualifies to Join Speaker's Bureau
October 13, 2003 At its October meeting, I qualified to join the
Founder's District Speakers Bureau. The Speaker's Bureau provides speakers
to public service groups, religious organizations, business, and other
organizations for all occasions at no charge. To qualify to join the
Speaker's Bureau, Toastmasters must have completed at least six manual
speeches, been in Toastmasters for at least six months, and give a
twenty-minute speech at a Speaker's Bureau meeting to be evaluated by the
members of the bureau. The speech I gave was "Reboot Your Life," which
presents three keys -- Forgive, Learn, and Act -- that enable anyone to
recover from any difficult situation. (Excerpts from this speech will be
available soon on matthewarnoldstern.com.) Also qualifying for the
Speaker's Bureau at the October meeting was Iris Adam, Natural Law Party
candidate for California governor in the 2002 election and one of the 135
candidates in the recent recall election. She spoke about "Everyone's
Special Interest." To invite me or any of the Speaker's Bureau members to
speak at your organization, visit the Speaker's Bureau Web site.
