Good summary. Looks like you were paying attention for the last 10 years. Even though you'd like to have shut your eyes.

Hmmm...I wished I had those enhancements on my latest version of MS Office for Mac. (Office 2008). The blog template would come in handy, but if it could not enable the "more" code for WordPress, I'm better off entering it manually in the online dashboard.
Another complaint about Word: Lack of a ready template for outline formatting. If you're doing a formal outline, even in APA style, one has to be extremely careful inserting a new line item in the hierarchy without disturbing the formatting. I asked a web design client of my friend Scott's - an on-call PC troubleshooter in town - about it. She did not know of any fixes for this. Pretty baffling, if you ask me!

Your insight is appreaciated. This is an unfortunate incident for all of the parties involved. I hope everyone involved can now find peace and closure. Whether it's aluminum bats or wood bats, we all hope and pray that an incident like this never occurs again.

Points well taken. I lived that history as well. However, I am a Twins and Red Sox fan (my core teams) and anytime I'd see an opportunity to pox the Yanks, I'd say go for it! I cannot forgive the Yanks for making us dig home plate up inside the Dome so soon.
To that end, I'd say Phillies in 5! It'll be good to avenge 1950 and repeat as champs.

You nailed the core of not only Jane's book and my blog - but the reason why sports has become an integral part of many global societies. It starts a conversation, it carries passionate debate and it either resolved towards agreeing to disagree or to leave the debate at the table and walk away. Just like a relationship.
Jane's relationship with the Pinstripes has a core value: Passion. If we live passionately of our lives, including our pursuits, we always find ourselves in the waters of the conversation either treading in it or deep into the waves. Preferably swimming in the waves.
This was also the mystery our mother taught us as well. It makes me wonder how Mom would've taken away from this book if she wrote it...

I was thrilled to discover your review of my "She-Fan" book today. Thanks so much for getting right to the heart of what I was trying to say in the book. Yes, I'm a passionate fan and would love it if my team won every single game. But fandom means so much more. It's about commitment and loyalty and being there - for better or worse.
